Are there any good Queen Bees?

In most High School movies, the Queen bee, the prettiest most popular girl, Is always depicted as a self absorbed Backstabbing bag of bitch. But one Question has always come to mind. Is there a good Queen Bee? Is there a popular girl who rules her school with kindness instead of cruelty? Well, it turns out there are.

Let's start with my favorite Queen Bee movie of all time, Mean Girls. The movie's Queen Bee is Regina George, who is a complete bitch. But for a split Second, Isn't Kady the nice girl Queen Bee at one point? Once Regina started getting fat, the rest of plastics started following Kady around, making her Queen Bee for a brief moment. Of course, when she does become Queen Bee, she starts acting more like Regina, who is a bitch. But she's unaware of this, and quickly goes back to being a good girl.

Another movie which showcases good Queen Bees is Clueless, which is like a Bizarro Mean Girls. Where Mean Girls portrayed popular girls as cold and self centered, Clueless shows them as nice and generous. Cher and Dion are the popular girls at school. Cher is a little bit on the slow side, but is very real and down to earth, not to mention she likes watching Beavis and Butthead with her ex-stepbrother soon to be love interest. And when Tai arrives at school, Cher and Dion give her a make over and make her their best friend. Something that would've never happened under Regina's rule.

Another Good Queen Bee I have as an Example is Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. Now, I know what you're thinking. "Elle Woods isn't in High School! She's a college girl!" True, but at one point she did go to High School, because you can't get to college without going to High School. Elle Woods is a very nice girl, and doesn't seem like the type to talk smack about others behind their backs. In the two movies she's in, she does nothing but help people and look fabulous while doing it.

Now Lets cross over to TV world now. In TV, the Queen Bee rule of H.R.P.M in movies also apply to television shows. For those of you who don't know, H.R.P.M means Hot, Rich, Popular and Mean. Let's talk about about Buffy the Vampire Slayer, A show I have never watched except for that one episode because it was on TV. From what I know, Buffy is a cheerleader, which ultimately makes her popular. And instead of bullying her peers, she's saving them from blood thirsty monsters, and no, I a not talking about the other Cheerleaders.

Another popular cheerleader who is good-ish is Hayden Pannieterre from Heroes, another show I have never watched except for that one episode because it was on TV. She has superpowers, and she uses them for good, instead of harming anyone.

Now, let's get into material I actually know. Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl. Serena is effortlessly good. She's just a naturally nice person. And while Blair can get a little bitchy at times, she is actually just as nice as S.
The last example I have of a kind hearted Queen Bee is Hanna Marin from Pretty Little Liars. This show is my favorite TV show ever. All the characters are so likable, including Alison, and she make Regina George look like Mother Teresa. My favorite right now is Hanna for many different reasons. In season 1, she is Queen Bee at Rosewood High. Alison is no longer around, so she took the throne. The only difference? Hanna is a saint. She's kind, Admiring, Down to earth and very relatable. She befriends Lucas, a boy that Ali used to torment, as a way to say sorry for not doing anything about Ali's meanness. Her BFF is Mona, a girl who was also picked on by Alison, and if you don't watch the show, That's all I'll say about Mona.

So, In the end, Queen Bees are not all bad. There's more to them. Just like nerds. I mean, before 2005, Nerds were always depicted as ugly, creepy and anti-social. Now, they have people like Jessica Nigri to stick up for them, and show the world that nerds can be sexy too. In the end, the lesson is never judge a book by it's cover. Don't be a Regina George or Alison Dilaurentis. Don't despise someone because of how they look and act. Get to know them before placing judgement. Even if someone looks like a total Bitch or a total loser, give them a chance. I've judged people in the past before, and They turned out to be different from what you thought. There was this guy in my English class, and at first I thought he was a douche bag, but it turns out he's actually a very cool guy.
